For the fishing enthusiast there are trout and bass to be caught (and released!) at Glen Avon.  

Fly fishing enthusiasts can cast their lines into 2 trout stocked dams at Glen Avon. There’s also the Naude River pools up at the Glen Avon Falls which is available to members of the Bankberg fly fishing club.  Club fees and rod fees apply.

As trout fishing is not everyone’s thing, we’ve stocked the lower two dams with bass. Catching is easier (and more fun) for youngsters and novice fly fishermen.  For bass fishing, our guests fish for free, but visitors pay R100 per rod per day. 

STAY at Glen Avon:

Bankberg Member: Trout fishing is free, and bass fishing is free

Non-member: Trout and bass R250

NOT STAYING AT GLEN AVON:

Bankberg Member: Trout fishing is free, R50 gate fee. Bass fishing only: R100

Non-member: Trout and bass R250 + R50 gate fee. Bass fishing only: R100
